A previous reviewer gave a 1* review but said this may work for someone who is just looking for an amp. Well that someone is me, and this works fantabulously! The remote doesn't, though. It needs determination to make it do anything, and feels as if it is made of old chewing gum that has been in the sun for 5 years. It also manages to control my DVD player (and occasionally the TV), which makes the whole experience rather bizarre. As adjusting the amp volume with the remote also ejects a DVD from the player, I have learned to use the DVD player remote to roughly adjust volume when watching a movie. The amp gets set to a reasonable level before starting the player! When watching TV I leave the DVD player off, and can adjust the amp volume with only the occasional glitch when the amp remote decides to get fresh with the TV.
Great fun!
But like I said, sounds good and is way cheaper than other options for what I needed. Question now is - how long will it last?
